Home to the fifth highest peak in the world Mt. Makalu (8,481 m), this region is covered with magnificent mountain landscapes, including glaciers, moraines, and towering peaks, offering challenging but rewarding trekking experiences. The Makalu Base Camp Trek is a popular option, taking trekkers through remote villages, ancient monasteries, and stunning mountain scenery.
