HRH PRINCE HRIDAYENDRA BIR BIKRAM SHAH

His Royal Highness Prince Hridayendra was born in the Narayanhiti Royal Palace in Kathmandu on 30 July 2002 at 12:49 pm to Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Paras Bir Bikram Shah and Crown Princess Himani Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah. On the same day, His Majesty declared him as His Royal Highness Nava Yuvaraj.
His Royal Highness Nava Yuvaraj Hridayendra is the youngest male member of the Royal Family of Nepal and is second in line of succession after his father, HRH Crown Prince Paras Bir Bikram Shah.
On 4 August 2002 the auspicious rituals of “Chhaithi” of His Royal Highness Nava Yuvaraj was observed as per Vedic rituals at Narayanhiti Royal Palace. On 9 August, eleven days after his birth, he was officially named Hridayendra Bir Bikram Shah in a “Nwaran” ceremony at the Palace.
At six months old, the royal family observed HRH Prince Hridayendra’s Annaprasan ceremony (rice feeding ceremony) at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace. The ceremony was carried out in accordance with Vedic tradition. Prince Paras fed him as priests recited hymns from the Vedas, Hindu religious texts, and a 21-gun-salute was fired. He was then fed by his mother, followed by other members of the Royal Family, during the ceremony. He was offered a gold coin by the then Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand and other officials. HRH Prince Hridayendra later made his first public appearance in a chariot procession and was taken to holy sites in old Kathmandu, where worship and rituals were conducted.
EDUCATION

For his primary education, His Royal Highness attended Rupy’s International School in Kathmandu with his elder sister, HRH Princess Purnika. In July 2008, he moved to Singapore with his parents. In 2021, he graduated high school from Lincoln College. HRH Prince Hridayendra also gave a speech during the graduation ceremony.

In 2021, he graduated high school from Lincoln School in Kathmandu, Nepal.

His Royal Highness Prince Hridayendra is also an aspiring poet.
