उनकी उच्चतम् राजकुमारी जयन्ती राज्य लक्ष्मी देवी शाहको जन्म अगस्ट ४, १९४६ मा उनका उच्चतम् राजकुमार वसन्तराज वीर बिक्रम शाह र उनकी उच्चतम् राजकुमारी हेलेन राज्य लक्ष्मी देवी शाहका सन्तानका रूपमा भएको थियो। नेपालका उनका महामहिम राजा त्रिभुवनकी नातिनीका रूपमा, उहाँ शाही परिवारकी प्रिय सदस्य हुनुहुन्थ्यो।
EARLY LIFE
Princess Jayanti’s early education took place at the prestigious Woodstock School in Mussoorie, India, and the esteemed Loreto Convent in Darjeeling. She later pursued her higher studies at Tribhuvan University, graduating in 1970.
Legacy of Compassion & Conservation
Known for her philanthropic spirit, Princess Jayanti left an indelible mark on cancer relief efforts in Nepal. She founded the Nepal Cancer Relief Society in 1982 and also served as its chairman. Her unwavering dedication saw her involve various international organizations to establish a cancer hospital in the country, raise social awareness through anti-smoking campaigns, and tirelessly advocate for improved cancer treatment accessibility.
Having witnessed the toll of heart diseases on her family members from a young age, Princess Jayanti was driven to help those suffering from cardiac ailments. She worked tirelessly to make cardiac treatment more affordable and readily available to the common people of Nepal.
Beyond her humanitarian endeavors, Princess Jayanti was a staunch advocate for tourism promotion and environmental conservation in Nepal. She attended international conferences and presented papers in Europe and America, raising awareness about social and environmental issues close to her heart.

DEATH
Tragically, Princess Jayanti was one of the ten members of the royal family who lost their lives in the devastating massacre of 2001. She was unmarried.
