राजकुमारी शान्ति सिंह, पूर्व राजकुमारी शान्ति राज्य लक्ष्मी देवी शाह, दिवङ्गत राजा महेन्द्र वीर बिक्रम शाह देव र दिवङ्गत महारानी इन्द्र राज्य लक्ष्मी देवी शाहका छोरामा जेठी थिइन्।

EARLY LIFE

She was born on 20 November 1940 at Narayanhiti Royal Palace and was followed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sharada, His Majesty King Birendra, His Majesty King Gyanendra, Her Royal Highness Princess Shobha and His Royal Highness Prince Dhirendra. As a young girl, she was educated at the Loreto Convent in Darjeeling, India along with her sisters and later joined Tribhuvan University in Nepal.

Her Royal Highness was a hardworking member of the royal family and was engaged in royal duties since her youth. She accompanied her parents Their Majesties King Mahendra and Queen Ratna in their state visits around the world as well as on national tours.
Family Life
On 8 February 1965, Princess Shanti married Kumar Deepak Jang Bahadur Singh, 60th Raja of Bajhang. They had three children: two sons, Binod Singh and Pramod Singh, and one daughter, Chhaya Devi.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
A life-long philanthropist, the Princess largely dedicated her time towards establishing and championing welfare societies in Nepal. In 1972, she founded the Nepal Leprosy Relief Association and became its patron in 1994. She was also a life-time member of the Nepal Red Cross Society and the Family Planning Association. As an animal lover, she contributed towards establishing the Nepal Kennel Club. However, the most notable contribution that Her Royal Highness is remembered for is her work towards the welfare of disabled persons in Nepal.

In 1987 she was president of the Disabled Welfare Fund Management Committee and during the International Year of Disabled Persons in 1981 she garnered much support and recognition from international organizations for her work among the disabled community in Nepal.
Death
She was one of the ten members to pass away from the shooting of the Royal massacre on 1 June, 2001.
